Role Overview
Hargreaves Lansdown (HL) is currently seeking an IT Risk Assurance Manager to become a vital part of our IT Audit Team. This role involves overseeing comprehensive IT internal audit projects, ensuring that all audit activities are conducted to the highest standards, fostering relationships with stakeholders, and providing assurance regarding the effectiveness of internal controls and risk management. You will deliver insightful audit reports that challenge management to enhance governance, risk management, and internal controls continuously.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with the Head of Audit for guidance while ultimately leading the audit process. Develop and sustain robust professional relationships throughout the organization. Assist HL in achieving its goals by applying a systematic and disciplined approach to evaluate and enhance risk management and control processes across all business sectors, influencing management to implement improvements. Utilize strong analytical skills to explore how data can be leveraged for insights and effective audit testing. Work independently or lead small teams, which may include external auditors. Contribute confidently to the audit planning process from a strategic perspective, drawing on your experience. Mentor and guide team members. Continuously seek to enhance methodologies and overall operational practices, including maintaining an effective quality assurance framework.Candidate Profile
Ideally, you will hold a CISA qualification or be in the process of obtaining it, along with other relevant certifications such as CRISC/CISSP, demonstrating a growth mindset. Experienced in auditing technical security and resilience IT controls across various technology layers, including applications and infrastructure. Proficient in auditing transformation and change, particularly in IT. Familiarity with data analytics. Proven ability to independently manage end-to-end audits with high-quality reporting. Strong analytical, communication, and influencing capabilities. Excellent problem-solving skills. High attention to detail. Internal IT audit experience within the financial services sector is preferred.Interview Process
The selection process will consist of two interview stages and a task. The second interview will be conducted in person.
Work Schedule
This position is permanent and full-time, requiring 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. While we have returned to the office, we offer a hybrid working model that allows for remote work and in-office attendance.
