JPC By Samsic is a leading facility management company that provides various services to businesses across the UK. We are currently seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to join our dynamic team and oversee the housekeeping operations in our client's facilities.

Position Summary:

The Housekeeping Supervisor will be responsible for managing the housekeeping staff and ensuring that all rooms, public areas, and other designated areas are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness. This individual will be responsible for training and supervising housekeeping staff, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and maintaining inventory of supplies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and train housekeeping staff, ensuring that they are meeting company standards for cleanliness and productivity
  • Assign tasks and responsibilities to housekeeping staff, ensuring that all areas are covered and tasks are completed in a timely manner
  • Inspect the office space, public areas, and facilities on a regular basis to ensure cleanliness and report any maintenance issues to the appropriate department
  • Maintain inventory of housekeeping supplies and equipment, ordering new supplies as needed
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations of housekeeping staff and provide feedback for improvement
  • Assist in the recruitment and hiring of new housekeeping staff as needed
  • Handle guest complaints or requests regarding housekeeping services in a timely and professional manner
  • Maintain records of housekeeping activities, such as cleaning schedules and employee schedules
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as front desk and maintenance, to ensure seamless operations
  • Monitor and control expenses within the housekeeping department's budget
  • Stay updated on industry trends, new cleaning techniques, and equipment, and implement best practices in the department

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a hospitality environment
  • Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation procedures, health and safety regulations, and inventory management
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently, multitask, and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
