Job Title: Autism Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Autism Support Worker to join our team at a Primary School in the Preston area.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will provide support to pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and other Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a dynamic and inclusive school environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support pupils with ASC and SEN in a primary school setting
  • Assist with lesson planning and delivery to meet individual pupil needs
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
  • Contribute to a safe and supportive learning environment
  • Collaborate with the SEN team to develop and implement individualized support plans
Requirements:
  • Level 2 qualification in a relevant field (e.g., teaching assistant, support worker)
  • Experience working with children with ASC and SEN
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced school environment
