Job Title: Autism Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Autism Support Worker to join our team at a Primary School in the Preston area.

About the Role:

This is a full-time position, working 8.30am-3.30pm, Monday to Friday. The successful candidate will be required to support pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and other Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support pupils throughout the school day, providing individualized support and accommodations as needed.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement personalized learning plans.
  • Use sensory integration techniques to support pupils' learning and engagement.
  • Assist pupils with speech, language, and communication development.
  • Encourage pupils to make informed choices and take ownership of their learning.
About the School:

Requirements:

We are looking for a candidate with a Level 2 qualification in a relevant field, such as teaching and learning or teaching assistant. Experience working with pupils with ASC and other SEN is highly desirable, but not essential. The successful candidate will be required to undergo a DBS check and provide references.
