Job Summary

Dorsett Hospitality International is seeking a skilled and experienced Floor Supervisor to join our dynamic Housekeeping Team at Dorsett City London. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and service in our guest rooms, back of house, and public areas.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead and direct a team of room attendants and porters to maintain exceptional standards of cleanliness and service.
  • Supervise the distribution of work assignments to ensure efficient and effective use of resources.
  • Respond to guest requests and enquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Motivate and develop the skills of the team to achieve exceptional results.
  • Collaborate with the Reception team to ensure seamless service delivery and maintain a high level of guest satisfaction.
  • Identify and report any maintenance issues or defects in the rooms and assigned areas.
  • Ensure that soft furnishings and décor of rooms are maintained to the highest standard, reporting any defects or special cleaning requirements to the Housekeeping Manager.
  • Conduct training sessions to enhance the skills and knowledge of the team.
  • Deliver daily briefings to the team to ensure everyone is aware of their responsibilities and expectations.
  • Familiarity with hotel operations systems, such as Opera, is highly desirable.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and service.
  • Ability to motivate and develop the skills of the team.
  • Good understanding of hotel operations and systems.
