We are seeking two experienced Lead Event Coordinators to become integral members of our Commercial Events Team on a full-time, permanent basis.

The Commercial Events team oversees all facets of venue hire at Southbank Centre, catering to a range of events from intimate meetings to large-scale gatherings accommodating up to 2,500 attendees, as well as filming, brand activations, and comprehensive venue closures. We are renowned for hosting prestigious events such as the BAFTAs and the BFI Film Festival, in addition to graduations for leading universities in London.

The ideal candidate will engage in a diverse array of responsibilities, including but not limited to:

  • Enhancing the Southbank Centre's reputation as a premier events venue by executing successful and seamless events.
  • Promoting, managing, and coordinating the operational elements of private hire events, brand activations, and related commercial activities.
  • Maximizing revenue potential from all Southbank Centre resources to ensure financial objectives are achieved or surpassed.
  • Overseeing a team of Event Managers/Officers, focusing on their development and performance to optimize income, strengthen customer relationships, and facilitate cross-selling of services or products in collaboration with other departments.
  • Assisting the Commercial Events Operations Manager and stepping in during their absence as the primary contact for operational issues.
