About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Functional Skills Tutor / Teacher to join our team at Education for Industry Training. As a key member of our training team, you will be responsible for planning, teaching, and supporting our Apprentices to complete their Functional Skills Level 2 qualifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver classroom and workplace-based sessions to support Apprentices in achieving their Functional Skills qualifications
  • Develop and implement tailored learning plans to meet the needs of individual Apprentices
  • Assess and provide feedback on Apprentices' work to ensure they are meeting the required standards
  • Collaborate with other members of the training team to ensure a cohesive and effective learning experience for Apprentices
  • Stay up-to-date with changes to the Functional Skills National Curriculum and ensure that teaching practices are aligned with these requirements

About You

  • Possession of a teaching qualification (Cert Ed, DET, or PGCE) or equivalent
  • A Level 2 qualification in Maths and English or equivalent
  • Experience in delivering a learner-centred approach curriculum to learners at various levels of learning
  • Knowledge of the Functional Skills National Curriculum requirements and the ability to develop resources and assess learners' work
