About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Functional Skills Educator to join our team at Education for Industry Training. As a key member of our training team, you will be responsible for planning, delivering, and supporting our Apprentices in achieving their Functional Skills Level 2 qualifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality classroom and workplace-based sessions to support Apprentices in achieving their Functional Skills qualifications
  • Develop and implement tailored learning plans to meet the needs of individual Apprentices
  • Assess and provide feedback on Apprentices' work to support their progress and achievement
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and effective learning environment
  • Contribute to the development and review of curriculum materials and resources

About You

  • Possession of a teaching qualification (Cert Ed, DET, or PGCE) or equivalent
  • A Level 2 qualification in Maths and English or equivalent
  • Knowledge of Functional Skills National Curriculum requirements and experience in developing resources and assessing learners' work
  • Experience in delivering a learner-centred approach to curriculum delivery to learners at various levels of learning
  • Experience in supporting learners with additional learning needs is an advantage
