About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Footwear Buyer to join our team on a maternity leave cover basis. As a Footwear Buyer, you will be responsible for buying and trading the Footwear department, for our European Full Price (Stores & E-Commerce) and Outlet Stores.

Key Responsibilities
  • Buy and trade the Footwear department, ensuring KPIs and sales plans are being met.
  • Partner with the Footwear Planner to analyse business and stock opportunities, monitor lifecycle and flow of product and identify re-order opportunities by classification and by style.
  • Develop strong relationships with vendors to manage the departments and ensure pricing architecture and product development is right for the EMEA market and delivers the global brand vision.
  • Prepare seasonal sales analysis (hind-sights) and devise pre-market strategies ahead of buys, in keeping with the wider business goals & present back to Senior Management.
  • Influence assortment building by analysing product performance, gathering customer feedback and staying on top of consumer trends and the competitive landscape.
  • Identify and make product ranging decisions based on sound analysis and current market trends.
  • Take a long term view when buying, balancing long term goals with short term trading opportunities.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years experience in Retail Buying or equivalent.
  • Background in sized product preferred.
  • Prior experience managing junior level reports.
  • Strong analytical and creative problem solving skills.
  • Dynamic, resilient and happy to do business at fast pace, ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Computer Literate – Advanced Excel Skills.
