Role Overview
As an Assistant Buyer for Brands, you will collaborate with our esteemed luxury partners and support the broader buying team across a vast array of brands within some of the most prominent footwear departments globally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Buyer in shaping the seasonal product offerings across the brand portfolio.
- Collaborate with the Buyer and Merchandise Team to prepare for seasonal reviews and strategic planning.
- Support the Buyer in curating customer-focused, market-driven seasonal collections.
- Stay informed about market trends, competitor actions, and emerging fashion styles.
- Research and suggest new brand partnerships to enhance the existing portfolio and boost sales performance.
- Maintain relationships with host stores and brand partners.
- Communicate regularly with suppliers regarding order confirmations to ensure timely deliveries and address any issues proactively.
- Assist in negotiations and work closely with brand partners to ensure pricing and margins are accurate.
- Work collaboratively with merchandising to respond to in-season opportunities, including repeats, cancellations, and order adjustments.
- Foster cross-functional relationships to effectively communicate information about deliveries, exclusive products, and launches to the wider team.
- Oversee the Buying Admin Assistant's work.
Candidate Profile:

- A proven track record as an Assistant Buyer.
- A degree-level education.
- A passion for fashion and a keen understanding of upcoming trends.
- Ability to cultivate brand relationships.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and a solid grasp of financial metrics.
- Personable, confident, and self-driven.
- Experience in managing an Admin Assistant.
- Exceptional attention to detail with a proactive attitude and initiative.
- Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.
- Ability to thrive under pressure in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
