Warton Lancashire, United Kingdom BAE Systems Full time £47,683 - £52,426

Flexible Working Arrangements: We provide a variety of hybrid and flexible working options. Please consult with your recruiter regarding the possibilities for this specific position.

Role Overview: Analyze new and evolving customer requirements while delivering a comprehensive Safety and Avionics scope, alongside a feasibility assessment for all primary sub-system teams. Facilitate a review of the supplied requirements, whether from a Customer Statement of Requirements (SOR) or an EF System Requirements Document (SRD), to pinpoint the initial customer needs.

Documentation: The findings will be documented in the Avionic System Scope and Feasibility Analysis Report (ASFAR). You will also coordinate preliminary safety evaluations of design modifications, emphasizing critical areas of concern, potential hazards, and the necessity for Weapon System Preliminary Hazard Analysis (WS PHA).

Qualifications: A degree in a STEM discipline (or equivalent relevant experience) is essential. A robust background in Systems Engineering throughout the entire system development lifecycle is crucial, ideally within the Aerospace or Defence sectors.
Understanding the interplay between engineering requirements and their implications on the platform and equipment is vital for effective implementation planning.

Relationship Management: The successful candidate will cultivate and maintain effective and enduring relationships with customers, stakeholders, and AJT teams. A proven track record in producing formal project documentation is required.

Benefits: You will enjoy a competitive pension scheme, an enhanced annual leave allowance, and a company-contributed Share Incentive Plan. Additional benefits include flexible working arrangements, an employee assistance program, Cycle2work, and employee discounts. You may also qualify for an annual incentive.

Safety Analysis Responsibilities: You will be accountable for the overall avionics safety analysis, qualification, and certification of the integrated system, ensuring the delivery of products to customers.

Technical Support: The Front-End Team offers technical assistance to EF, consolidating customer requirements and system constraints to provide a coherent Design Concept and a unified perspective across the Avionic Design teams.

Diversity and Inclusion: BAE Systems is committed to welcoming candidates from diverse backgrounds, particularly those from communities currently underrepresented in our industry, including women, ethnic minorities, individuals with disabilities, and LGBTQ+ individuals.

Support for Candidates: If you have a disability or health condition (such as dyslexia, autism, or an anxiety disorder) that may impact your performance in certain assessment types, please discuss potential reasonable adjustments with your recruiter.
