Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development of Avionics qualification plans and testing documentation, determining the necessary testing (both rig and flight) to certify new Avionic functionalities.
  • Analyze test data to assess compliance with qualification plans and identify any non-compliance issues that may affect user guidance or platform capabilities.
  • Collaborate with the Safety team to establish minimum testing requirements for Safety Critical Function Chains (SCFC) essential for flight safety.
  • Manage and address software issues and resolutions, supporting management forums across all Eurofighter companies and relevant customer representatives.
  • Provide urgent customer support through an In-Service Query response service.

This role is vital in facilitating the qualification of Typhoon Avionics design modifications. You will work closely with the Avionic Safety and Clearance teams to implement new capabilities aligned with program requirements. As a senior engineer, you will operate with increased autonomy, assisting the Group Leader in managing team responsibilities and mentoring junior engineers.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Experience with Mission Systems, preferably in aerospace or military settings.
  • Familiarity with system-level functional testing processes.
  • Experience working with equipment interface specifications.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks effectively.
  • Commitment to adhering to established standards and procedures, with an understanding of configuration control.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate within a team environment.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of the Typhoon platform.
  • Experience in trial data analysis and management.
  • Familiarity with design tools and methodologies (e.g., Statemate, Artisan, Rhapsody, UML & DOORS).
  • Experience in requirements management.
  • Knowledge of system qualification and certification processes.
  • Familiarity with JIRA project management tools.
