Position Title: Lead Avionics Systems Architect

Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate new and evolving client requirements, providing a comprehensive Safety and Avionic scope along with a feasibility assessment for all primary subsystem teams.
- Facilitate a thorough review of the supplied requirements, whether from a Customer Statement of Requirements (SOR) or an Engineering Framework System Requirements Document (SRD), to pinpoint initial client needs.
- Assess customer requirements alongside an evaluation of the Conceptual Employment scenarios to define the 'Problem Space'. Document the findings in the Avionic System Scope and Feasibility Analysis Report (ASFAR).
- Coordinate preliminary safety evaluations of design modifications, emphasizing critical areas of concern, potential hazards, and the necessity for Weapon System Preliminary Hazard Analysis (WS PHA). Document results in the ASFAR.
- Oversee initial technical evaluations of Customer Business Cases (BC) to outline and document the overall scope, implications of changes, and potential solutions. Analyze these solutions to determine the preferred option, referred to as the 'Avionic Design Recommendation'. Conduct a final feasibility study on the selected Avionic Design Recommendation.
Required Qualifications:
- A degree in a STEM discipline or equivalent relevant experience.
- Demonstrated expertise in Systems Engineering throughout the entire system development lifecycle, preferably within the Aerospace or Defence sectors.
- Proven experience in requirements gathering and management, with a solid understanding of the interplay between engineering requirements and their effects on platforms and equipment.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.
- Proven capability to produce formal project documentation.
