About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Supplier Manager to join our Systems Design Team at BAE Systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the software design activities of external suppliers to ensure they meet customer requirements and standards.
  • Work closely with the ESS Systems Integration test, Software development, Hardware and Operations teams to improve efficiency and quality of the FESS.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to the team to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external suppliers to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Identify and mitigate technical risks to ensure project delivery on time and within budget.

Requirements:

  • Strong engineering background with experience in system and software application design and architecture principles.
  • Experience with modelling techniques and tools (UML, Enterprise Architect, XML/XSD) and requirements analysis, elaboration and management tools (Rational DOORS).
  • Experience with configuration and version control tools (Rational ClearCase, Git) and database technologies (Oracle, SQL, etc.).
  • HNC/HND in a STEM subject or equivalent relevant experience.
