Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Customer Assistant at Lidl. As a key member of our store team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a high level of product knowledge, and contributing to a positive and efficient store environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer queries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Maintain a high level of product knowledge, including store layouts, promotions, and product information.
  • Contribute to a positive and efficient store environment, working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve sales and customer service targets.
  • Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently, handling cash, credit card, and mobile payments.
  • Participate in visual merchandising and store displays, ensuring a visually appealing and well-organized store environment.

Requirements:

  • Previous retail or customer service experience is desirable, but not essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and customers.
  • Able to work flexible hours, including weekends and bank holidays.
  • Basic math skills and accuracy when handling cash and credit card transactions.

What We Offer:

  • A competitive hourly rate of £12.40-£13.35.
  • A 30-hour contract, with opportunities for overtime.
  • 30-35 days' holiday (pro rata) per year.
