Consultant Psychiatrist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our CAMHS Inpatient General Adolescent Unit team at Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.
Key Responsibilities- Manage, appraise, and provide professional supervision to junior medical staff, ensuring they operate within the parameters of the New Deal and are Working Time Directive compliant.
- Undertake administrative duties associated with patient care, including recording clinical activity accurately and comprehensively.
- Participate in service and business planning activities for the locality and the whole mental health service.
- Maintain professional registration with the General Medical Council, Mental Health Act Section 12(2) approval, and adhere to professional codes of conduct.
- MB BS or equivalent medical qualification.
- Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practise at the time of appointment.
- Included on the GMC Specialist Register OR within six months.
- Approved clinician status OR able to achieve within 3 months of appointment.
- Approved under S12 OR able to achieve within 3 months of appointment.
- Wide range of specialist and sub-specialist experience relevant to the post within the NHS or comparable services.
- Experience of working within a CAMHS PICU or GAU.
- Evidence of achievement in education, research, audit, and service improvement, including awards, prizes, presentations, and publications.
