Consultant Psychiatrist Redwood 2

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Consultant Psychiatrist to join our dynamic Inpatient and PICU team at Highbury Hospital. As a key member of the team, you will play a vital role in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with a diverse range of mental health conditions.
Key Responsibilities- Manage, appraise, and provide professional supervision to junior medical staff, ensuring they operate within the parameters of the New Deal and are Working Time Directive compliant.
- Undertake administrative duties associated with patient care, including recording clinical activity accurately and comprehensively.
- Participate in service and business planning activity for the locality and contribute to the development and implementation of innovative treatment plans.
- Lead multidisciplinary teams and provide clinical leadership, ensuring the efficient running of services and sharing best practices with consultant colleagues.
- Comply with Trust policies, procedures, and financial instructions, and take an active role in the financial management of the service.
We are looking for a Consultant Psychiatrist with:
- MB BS or equivalent medical qualification.
- Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practise at the time of appointment.
- Approved clinician status or able to achieve within 3 months of appointment.
- Excellent knowledge in General Adult Psychiatry, with excellent clinical skills using a bio-psycho-social perspective and wide medical knowledge.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English, with the ability to manage clinical complexity and uncertainty.
