Position Overview

We are in search of a Senior Underwriter with established expertise and recognition in the UK Commercial Insurance sector, particularly with a proven history in underwriting both Multinational and Domestic Large and Medium Corporates. A solid foundation in constructing international property insurance programs, along with proficiency in underwriting Property captive placements, is essential. Your key responsibilities will encompass:

  1. Evaluating and analyzing Property submissions concerning exposures and coverages while identifying and negotiating optimal solutions for Corporate Solutions.
  2. Underwriting for both existing and prospective clients.
  3. Formulating strategies to enhance our standing with current accounts and to cross-sell additional lines of business in collaboration with client managers.
  4. Preparing quotes, structuring programs, and presenting proposals.
  5. Contributing to the evolution of our offerings to align with market demands and practices.
Candidate Profile

  1. A minimum of 5-10 years of relevant experience in property underwriting for medium to large corporates, including in a leadership capacity and managing insurance programs.
  2. A robust network of brokers and clients.
  3. Expertise in utilizing underwriting tools and the ability to interpret and assess results effectively.
  4. The capability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously without losing oversight.
  5. A high level of energy and a proactive approach.

This role may involve occasional travel.
