**About the Role**
Bruin is seeking an experienced Property Underwriter to join their team in London, reporting to the Group Head of Property. In this role, you will be responsible for underwriting quality property business in line with the company's appetite, ensuring a profitable book and nurturing long-standing relationships with brokers.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Underwrite new and renewal property binders within your authority limits, referring to senior management as needed.
- Manage property binders, including performance reviews, claims trends, and conducting regular audits and underwriter visits.
- Service and amend existing contracts according to the company's underwriting philosophy.
- Build and maintain relationships with coverholders and brokers to secure new business.
- Review rate structures, underwriting guides, and policy wordings to ensure their suitability.
- Provide data and reports for meetings and business plans.
**Key Skills and Knowledge:**
- Strong understanding of international commercial property, homeowners, and high-value home insurance.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements, underwriting principles, and legal guidelines.
- Familiarity with the insurance market.
