About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Employee Relations Advisor to join our People Function at Diligenta. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in providing dedicated, high-quality Employee Relations services to our employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on complex employee relations matters, ensuring that all risks are effectively mitigated and that employee relations issues are acted upon in a thorough, consistent, and equitable manner.
  • Lead on casework that has been escalated to ACAS and/or Employment Tribunal, working closely with the ER Manager and Diligenta's employment lawyer to ensure costs are kept to a minimum.
  • Respond to and coordinate the employment tribunal claims process, ensuring that all necessary steps are taken to mitigate risks and achieve the best possible outcomes.
  • Develop and implement robust and effective working practices, ensuring that the business is well-equipped to respond to changes in employment law and HR practice.
  • Deputise for the Employee Relations Manager, providing daily team management and ensuring that all team members are supported and equipped to perform their roles effectively.
  • Identify and communicate issues and risks to the business, escalating these to the Strategic People Partner and ER Manager as necessary to ensure prompt and effective action can be taken.
  • Provide technical expertise to all managers and the People function, supporting business change initiatives such as TUPE transfers, re-organisation, restructures, harmonisation, and People initiatives.
  • Facilitate and manage the settlement agreement process, ensuring that all necessary steps are taken to mitigate risks and achieve the best possible outcomes.
  • Update and maintain the ER tracker system, ensuring that all casework is logged and that data analysis can be performed to support the business.
Requirements
  • Proven experience managing the full spectrum of Employee Relations processes.
  • Extensive knowledge of employment law, with the ability to provide commercially driven solutions.
  • Experience in coaching and developing individuals on People and ER-related matters.
  • Ability to coach, support, challenge, and influence decisions to effectively negotiate sensitive, pragmatic, and commercially focused resolutions to issues, risks, and queries.
  • Skilled in leveraging data insights to drive positive outcomes.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, adaptable to all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to maintain resilience in challenging situations.
