Our Radar and Advanced Targeting division, located in Edinburgh, is recognized as a leading manufacturer of advanced Radar, Laser, and Infra-Red Countermeasure systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute EMC testing engineering tasks in compliance with defense and aviation standards.
- Evaluate products, including airborne systems such as ESCAN Radar and Laser Designator.
- Engage in the initial development lifecycle, overseeing pre-compliance and formal product qualification EMC testing.
- Oversee and sustain the EMC testing facility and its equipment.
- Draft and assess test reports and procedures.
- Assist in facility audits and guarantee test readiness for clients.
- Guide junior personnel and foster effective collaboration with team members and clients.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Physics, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in EMC testing adhering to standards such as MIL-STD-461 and DO-160.
- Expertise in utilizing EMC and RF measurement testing apparatus.
- Excellent communication abilities and experience in client-facing roles.
- Understanding of Quality Management Systems and laboratory certifications.
- Familiarity with 5S methodologies and experience in planning EMC laboratory requirements.
- Engineering Grade: 5
