Electronics Lead Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Electronics Lead Engineer to lead the electronics development for a key program in Leonardo's Advanced Targeting Sector.
About the Role:As a Lead Electronics Engineer, you will be responsible for leading a team of electronics engineers in the development of the DragonFire beam-director electronic hardware. You will work closely with software, firmware, mechanical, and systems engineering leads to solve real integration problems on test systems.
You will be responsible for creating high-quality and robust electronics design, keeping them under configuration management, and providing plans and reports on progress. Additionally, you will take an active role in engineering process improvement and ensure electronics support to ongoing system trials.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead a team of electronics engineers in the development of the DragonFire beam-director electronic hardware.
- Develop new electronics through the full design lifecycle, from requirements analysis to implementation and delivery.
- Work closely with software, firmware, mechanical, and systems engineering leads to solve real integration problems on test systems.
- Take ownership of all electronics work package, planning your team's work, supervising engineers in completion of tasks, and reporting to stakeholders.
- Ensure electronics support to ongoing system trials.
- Degree qualified in Electronics Engineering or related science or equivalent work experience.
- Expert-level proficiency in at least one aspect of electronics design, for example, analogue, mixed-signal, digital, or power electronics.
- Experience of team leadership and work package management.
- Good knowledge of developing electronics within a development process framework.
- Able to demonstrate experience in most areas of the design lifecycle from requirements definition through to implementation, integration test, and delivery.
