Position Overview

We are looking for a dedicated Research Fellow to join our team on an innovative project focused on the integration of hydrogen solutions for sustainable energy development. This role is situated within the Department of Engineering Science at the University of Oxford.

The successful candidate will contribute significantly to advancing energy independence and decarbonization strategies through the development of tailored decision-making tools. These tools will facilitate the production and incorporation of green hydrogen and ammonia into the energy framework.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop location-specific geospatial models to support the integration of renewable energy sources.
  • Collaborate with a diverse team of experts in policy, energy systems, and finance.
  • Engage with stakeholders to align project outcomes with national energy objectives.
  • Incorporate socio-economic factors into modelling efforts to ensure inclusive and effective solutions.

This role is essential in enhancing energy infrastructure resilience and contributing to broader energy security initiatives. Candidates should possess a relevant PhD/DPhil or be nearing completion, with the potential for consideration at a lower grade for those with a relevant degree and experience.
