About the Role

The Royal Devon and Exeter NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Clinical Scientist to join our Genomic Laboratory team. As a Clinical Scientist - Genomics Specialist, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality clinical genomic testing services through cloud infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement bioinformatics services to support clinical genomic testing
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless delivery of genomic data analysis and interpretation
  • Design and implement cloud-based infrastructure to support genomic data management and analysis
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on genomic data analysis and interpretation to clinical teams
  • Contribute to the development of new genomic testing services and protocols

Requirements

  • Proven experience in bioinformatics and genomic data analysis
  • Strong understanding of cloud-based infrastructure and data management
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
