We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Biomedical Scientist Specialist to join our team in the Exeter Blood Sciences Department at the Royal Devon and Exeter NHS Foundation Trust.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a high-quality analytical, advisory, and interpretive service to clinicians for the processing of pathological specimens in Haematology, Immunology, and Blood Transfusion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide analytical, advisory, and interpretive services to clinicians for the processing of pathological specimens.
- Ensure departmental quality standards are maintained through adherence to standard operating procedures, implementation of quality control programs, and instrumentation maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Participate in the Departmental Out-of-Hours shift and on-call services as an autonomous practitioner.
- Contribute to the maintenance of quality standards by actively participating in all relevant quality activities.
- Deputise for Band 7's when required.
