Position Overview
We are seeking dedicated and empathetic Pediatric Care Support Specialists who are committed to providing exceptional one-on-one care for our young service users. The role involves fostering positive relationships with both the child and their family, while promoting independence within the comfort of their home.
About Our Service User
Our service user is a vibrant teenager who resides with a supportive family. She requires continuous assistance with her intricate clinical care needs, both during the day and at night, on a one-to-one basis.
She enjoys engaging with her community, spending quality time with loved ones, and participating in various creative activities, including arts and crafts.
Key Responsibilities
During the night shifts, you will be responsible for addressing her clinical care requirements, assisting with personal hygiene, facilitating safe mobility, and providing comfort to ensure a peaceful night's rest. Additionally, you will support her morning routine to prepare her for the day ahead.
It is crucial that candidates are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 for this role.
We are particularly looking for individuals with prior experience working with children, as this is a fundamental requirement for the position.
Our service user has expressed a preference for female caregivers to join her support team.
Available Shifts
- Full-Time Day Shifts: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
- Part-Time Night Shifts: 10:00 PM - 8:00 AM
Compensation
Our pay structure is as follows:
- Weekdays: £ per hour (approximately £128 for an 8-hour shift)
- Weeknights: £ per hour (approximately £165 for a 10-hour shift)
- Weekends: £ per hour (approximately £170 for a 10-hour shift)
- Bank Holidays: £ per hour (approximately £190 for a 10-hour shift)

Role Responsibilities
The Pediatric Care Support Specialist will operate independently in the home environment, providing comprehensive care and support, including personal, social, and domestic assistance, while adhering to the individualized care plan of the service user.
The primary goal is to enable service users to maintain their independence and safety within their own homes.
In addition to delivering care in a professional and compassionate manner, it is essential to uphold the service user's right to privacy and dignity at all times.
Candidate Profile
Essential Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 months of relevant care experience
- Experience in medication administration
- Proficiency in personal care
- Knowledge of moving and handling techniques
- COVID-19 vaccinations
- Experience with epilepsy care
Desirable Qualifications:
- Experience with PEG feeding
- Oral suctioning skills
- Seizure management experience
- Oxygen management knowledge
