Role Overview:

We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic support workers who are committed to promoting and sustaining an independent lifestyle for our client with intricate care needs. The individual we support has experienced a significant brain injury and relies on assistance for daily activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and nurture a trusting therapeutic relationship with the client, their family, and the Case Manager.
  • Provide support in accordance with the Care Plan guidelines.
  • Ensure health, safety, and security standards are upheld in the workplace.
  • Facilitate effective communication among all parties involved.
  • Contribute to safeguarding individuals from abuse.
  • Collaborate with other agencies as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate daily records, including timesheets and care plan summaries.
  • Participate in supervision and team meetings as required.
  • Engage in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Assist the client in attending community activities and hydrotherapy sessions.
  • Implement therapy practice sessions as directed by healthcare professionals.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Preferred candidates will possess an NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care or a Care Certificate.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, along with experience supporting individuals with severe physical disabilities, are essential.
  • Proficiency in using hoists and specialized equipment is required.
  • Reliability, integrity, and trustworthiness are crucial attributes for this role.
  • A valid driving license is necessary to operate the client's adapted vehicle for community access.
  • A genuine passion for delivering personalized care is essential.
  • A willingness to learn and grow within the role is expected.
  • Successful candidates will undergo an Enhanced DBS check.
