Position Overview and Responsibilities

The Financing Operations team is responsible for Agency and Middle Office functions, engaging with various departments within the Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) sector and other support functions. This includes collaboration with the financing Front Office, which encompasses Real Assets, Global Trade, Investment Banking, and Global Structured Credit & Solutions, as well as Distribution & Portfolio Management, Loan Administration Back Office, Credit Risk, Legal, and Compliance.

The Middle Office plays a critical role within the COO CIB / Global Banking Operations (GBO) / Financing Operations department, participating in three essential phases of the financing operations lifecycle:

1. Structuring;

2. Implementation;

3. Monitoring and repayment.

Key responsibilities include:

- Providing expert guidance and technical support to the Front Office;

- Ensuring compliance with internal requirements;

- Acting as the Agent or participant in syndicated transactions;

- Serving as a liaison with other Natixis entities for the execution and oversight of operations.

The role necessitates building effective partnerships with all Front Offices and various teams across the bank, including Risk, Finance, and Loans Administration.

- Reviewing and providing feedback on deal structures and facility documentation during both structuring and closing phases, ensuring feasibility and compliance with credit approvals and term sheets.

- Ensuring accurate representation of all deals in the Bank's system [LoanIQ], including deal structure, security packages, and all associated covenants, along with necessary reviews and monitoring.

- Coordinating daily activities in accordance with departmental procedures and systems (query log, departmental email mailbox, Sword).

- Ensuring all post-closing actions are executed and recorded in the bank's systems, including the departmental Middle Office Workbook.

- Taking responsibility for the production of monthly reports across all business lines, including covenant, activity, sell down, unpaid, statistics, and waiver reports.

- Maintaining high-quality data, understanding credit policy developments, and escalating relevant queries. This includes preparing detailed statistics for the monthly dashboard and managing relevant Bank systems such as LoanIQ, SWORD, and Credit Portal.

- Providing technical support to colleagues in areas of expertise.

- Ensuring timely escalation of issues to the appropriate personnel.

Required Profile and Skills

- Familiarity with Investment and Corporate Banking and its products.

- Essential knowledge of facility documentation, particularly in monitoring financial covenants and security packages.

- Specific experience in Facility and Security Agent roles, with knowledge of systems such as DebtDomain and ClearPar being advantageous.

- Proactive approach, delivering dependable and timely support to business partners.

- Flexibility and willingness to embrace new assignments in a dynamic environment.

- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, capable of interacting confidently with stakeholders at all levels.

- Attention to detail with a focus on control and risk management, taking ownership of responsibilities.
