Job Overview
The Financing Operations team plays a crucial role in managing Agency and Middle Office functions, facilitating interactions with various departments within Corporate Investment Banking, as well as other support functions. This includes collaboration with the financing Front Office, encompassing Real Assets, Global Trade, Investment Banking, and Securitised Product Group, along with Distribution & Portfolio Management, Loan Administration back office, Credit Risk, Legal, and Compliance divisions.
The Middle Office operates under the COO CIB/Global Banking Operations (GBO)/Financing Operations department and is engaged in three primary phases:
1. Structuring
2. Implementation
3. Monitoring and Repayment
This position necessitates the development of strong partnerships with all Front Offices as key stakeholders, as well as collaboration with teams across various sectors of the bank, including Risk, Finance, Loans Administration, and Back Office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and provide feedback on deal structures and facility documentation during both the structuring and closing phases, ensuring compliance with credit approvals and term sheets.
- Verify that all transactions are accurately recorded in the Bank's system (Loan IQ), including deal structure, security packages, collateral, and all covenants, along with necessary reviews and monitoring activities.
- Offer support for all current and prospective Facility Agency roles.
- Ensure that daily operations are well understood, discussed, and assigned according to departmental procedures and systems (query log, departmental email, etc.).
- Confirm that all post-closing actions are executed and documented in the bank's systems, including the completion of all relevant check sheets.
Required Skills/Qualifications/Experience:
- Familiarity with Investment and Corporate Banking products is essential.
- Knowledge of facility documentation is critical, particularly in relation to financial covenants and security packages.
- Experience with Facility and Security Agent roles, including systems like DebtDomain and ClearPar, is preferred.
- A proactive approach with the ability to provide valuable support to business partners in a reliable and timely manner.
- Flexibility and a willingness to embrace new challenges in a dynamic environment.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, capable of engaging confidently with stakeholders at all levels.
- Exceptional attention to detail, with a focus on control and risk management, taking ownership of responsibilities.
