Position Overview and Responsibilities
The Financing Operations teams are responsible for Agency and Middle Office functions, collaborating with various departments within the Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) sector and other support functions. This includes interaction with the financing Front Office, which encompasses Real Assets, Global Trade, Investment Banking, and Global Structured Credit & Solutions, as well as Distribution & Portfolio Management, Loan Administration Back Office, Credit Risk, Legal, and Compliance.
The Middle Office plays a critical role within the COO CIB / Global Banking Operations (GBO) / Financing Operations department, engaging in three key phases of the financing operations lifecycle:
1. Structuring;
2. Implementation;
3. Monitoring and Repayment.
The primary responsibilities include:
- Providing expertise and technical support to the Front Office;
- Ensuring compliance with internal requirements;
- Acting as the Agent or participant in syndicated transactions;
- Facilitating communication with other Natixis entities for operation implementation and follow-up.
This role necessitates the establishment of effective partnerships with all Front Offices and various teams across the bank, including Risk, Finance, and Loans Administration.
- Reviewing and providing feedback on deal structures and facility documentation during both structuring and closing phases, ensuring feasibility and compliance with credit approvals and term sheets.
- Ensuring accurate reflection of all deals in the Bank's system [LoanIQ], including deal structure, security packages, and all covenants, along with associated reviews and monitoring.
- Coordinating day-to-day activities in accordance with departmental procedures and systems.
- Overseeing post-closing actions to ensure proper execution and documentation in the bank's systems.
- Monitoring the production of monthly reports across all business lines, including covenant, activity, and waiver reports.
- Maintaining high-quality data and adhering to credit policy developments while escalating relevant queries.
- Providing technical support to colleagues in areas of expertise.
- Ensuring timely escalation of issues to appropriate personnel.
Required Profile and Skills
A solid understanding of Investment and Corporate Banking and its products is essential. Knowledge of facility documentation, particularly regarding financial covenants and security packages, is crucial. Experience with Facility and Security Agent roles, including familiarity with systems such as DebtDomain and ClearPar, is preferred.
The ideal candidate will be proactive, capable of delivering valuable support to business partners in a reliable and timely manner. Flexibility and a willingness to embrace new challenges in a dynamic environment are important. Strong communication and relationship-building skills are necessary for effective interaction with stakeholders at all levels.
Attention to detail, a disciplined approach to control and risk management, and a sense of ownership and accountability for responsibilities are vital attributes.
