The Mental Health & Learning Disabilities Service Group is in search of a Consultant Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our multidisciplinary community Child & Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS).

Our service group offers a comprehensive range of community and inpatient services, catering to a diverse population, and encompasses Perinatal, Child & Adolescent, Adult, Older People, Rehabilitation, Substance Misuse, Forensic, and Learning Disabilities Services.

The successful applicant will become part of a clinical team that includes consultant psychiatry colleagues, nurses, psychologists, therapists, and a broader medical workforce, all dedicated to delivering SBU Community CAMHS as part of the CAMHS Directorate. Our service provides CAMH services in alignment with the Mental Health (Wales) Measure (2010), which includes Local Primary Mental Health Support Services, liaison services with educational institutions and local authority services, as well as a Crisis Team. Our CAMH service collaborates closely with Community Paediatrics and Adult Mental Health Services, alongside local authority partners.

Registered with the GMC Licensed to practice On Specialist Register with GMC as a specialist in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry or eligible for CCT within 6 months of date of interview and have passed exit exam or a statement of eligibility for registration issued by PMETB or a primary medical qualification and recognized specialist qualification from a European Member State which will allow direct entry to the GMC Specialist Register
