About the Role

Oxford Health NHS Trust is seeking a skilled and experienced Community Vaccinator to join our expanding immunisation team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering the School Aged Immunisation Programme in Primary, Secondary, and Independent Schools, as well as other community venues.

Main Responsibilities

  • Deliver vaccinations to school-aged children in a safe and efficient manner
  • Work collaboratively with schools, parents, and other healthcare professionals to promote immunisation uptake
  • Develop and maintain relationships with schools and community venues to ensure successful programme delivery
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of immunisation policies and procedures
  • Participate in regular training and study days to enhance knowledge and skills

Requirements

  • Registered Clinician with experience in immunisation and school health nursing
  • Awareness of National and Local policies, especially those relating to school health nursing and immunisations for school-aged children
  • Experience of delivering health promotion and working with children and families
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well under pressure
  • Ability to travel between sites and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
