Vaccination Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Vaccination Specialist to support our vaccination programmes for various diseases, including flu, Covid, shingles, pneumococcal, MMR, and RSV. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with healthcare professionals to deliver a safe and effective service for the administration of vaccinations to patients aged 6 months and above.

Main Responsibilities

  • Conduct clinical assessments and address patient concerns
  • Administer vaccines according to national protocols and guidelines
  • Obtain informed consent from patients
  • Prepare and mix vaccines as required
  • Undertake additional tasks as needed within the role
  • Complete mandatory training and other relevant training
  • Follow infection control guidelines

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse or Registered Paramedic, Physiotherapist, or Pharmacist
  • Good up-to-date clinical knowledge, including immunisation schedules
  • Training and experience in administering vaccinations
  • Basic Life Support and anaphylaxis training (desirable)
  • Full clean driving licence and ability to travel locally (desirable)
