About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Vaccination Specialist to join our team at Principal Medical Limited. As a Vaccination Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting our vaccination programmes for various diseases, including flu, Covid, shingles, pneumococcal, MMR, and RSV.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer vaccinations to patients aged 6 months and above, following national protocols and guidelines.
  • Conduct clinical assessments and address patient concerns.
  • Prepare and mix vaccines as required.
  • Provide informed consent to patients.
  • Undertake additional tasks as required within your role as a Vaccination Specialist.
  • Participate in mandatory training and other relevant training to enhance your skills.
  • Adhere to in-house, local, and national Infection Control guidelines.

Person Specification

Essential

  • Registered Nurse or Registered Paramedic, Physiotherapist, or Pharmacist.
  • Good up-to-date clinical knowledge, including knowledge of immunisation schedules.
  • Trained in administering vaccinations and immunisations via intramuscular injection and intranasally.
  • Immunisation training and experience of delivering immunisations.

Desirable

  • Basic Life Support and anaphylaxis training.
  • Full clean driving licence and ability to travel locally and around Oxfordshire to administer vaccinations.
