Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Community Vaccinator to join our expanding immunisation team. As a Community Vaccinator, you will play a vital role in delivering the School Aged Immunisation Programme in Primary, Secondary, and Independent Schools, as well as other community venues.

Main Duties

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Delivering vaccinations to school-aged children in a variety of settings
  • Working with schools and other community venues to promote immunisation uptake
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including school staff and parents
  • Providing education and support to parents and carers on immunisation and health promotion
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless delivery of the immunisation programme

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A valid driving licence and access to a car for work
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends, as required
Person Specification

We are looking for candidates who possess:

  • Registered Clinician status
  • Awareness of National and Local policies, especially those relating to school health nursing and immunisations for school-aged children
  • Experience of delivering health promotion
