About the Role:

G D Woodworking Ltd is seeking an experienced National Sales Manager to play a key role in driving sales growth and expanding our customer base. As a senior sales professional, you will be responsible for managing existing customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and developing strategic partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maximise sales potential from existing customer accounts
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the new house building market
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders
  • Negotiate and close purchase orders and agreements
  • Monitor and report on sales performance
  • Collaborate with the sales team to share knowledge and best practices
  • Provide regular updates to the company board on sales progress

Requirements and Skills:

  • Proven experience in a senior sales or National sales manager role
  • Experience selling timber-based products into new house builders is preferred
  • Strong network of contacts within the new house building market
  • Understanding of the major players in the new house building market
  • Driving licence
  • Ability to travel as needed, including occasional overnight stays
  • Experience using software to prepare prices is preferred
  • Understanding of architectural drawings
  • Analytical skills with a problem-solving attitude
  • Solid customer service attitude with excellent negotiation skills
  • Strong communication and team management skills
