Position Overview

At Paston Surgery, we are dedicated to providing exceptional healthcare services to our community. Our Healthcare Assistants (HCAs) play a vital role in our clinical team, collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standard of patient care.

We are currently seeking a part-time Clinical Support Assistant to join our welcoming team. This is a permanent role, subject to a probationary period, and requires individuals with strong clinical, communication, and customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities

The primary responsibilities of the Clinical Support Assistant include, but are not limited to:

  • Conducting phlebotomy and ECG procedures
  • Performing blood pressure assessments and INR monitoring
  • Assisting with wound care and dressing changes
  • Supporting long-term condition reviews and health checks
  • Maintaining inventory levels of medical supplies
  • Providing administrative assistance and patient data entry
  • Chaperoning patients as necessary

Candidates should possess a service-oriented mindset, demonstrating a commitment to enhancing the patient experience. Strong communication skills are essential, along with the ability to engage with patients from diverse backgrounds. Organizational skills, adaptability, and flexibility are crucial in our dynamic work environment.

Work Schedule

The working hours for this position will be discussed during the interview process, with a requirement for flexibility to accommodate changes.

About Our Practice

We are looking for enthusiastic and professional candidates, ideally with experience in a busy healthcare setting. In addition to a competitive salary, successful applicants will be enrolled in the NHS Pension Scheme and receive ongoing training and development support. Our team enjoys five weeks of annual leave plus bank holidays (pro-rata).
