Position Overview

The Norfolk & Suffolk Foundation NHS Trust is seeking a dedicated Clinical Support Practitioner who is passionate about contributing to the field of Forensic Mental Health. This role will involve working within a dynamic team on Catton Ward, providing essential support in a 24/7 service environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the registered nurse in managing daily operations of the shift.
  • Serve as the designated nurse for a patient, coordinating their care effectively.
  • Evaluate the needs of service users in collaboration with a registered professional.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work autonomously, utilizing initiative to address service user needs.
  • Engage with external organizations as necessary to promote integrated care.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of service users' needs in health records.
  • Support service users and their families in accessing relevant information and resources.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage your workload independently while ensuring quality standards are met.
  • Maintain accurate records in compliance with Trust policies.
  • Support the daily operations of services, including staff coordination and mentoring of junior team members.
  • Provide leadership and supervision to junior staff, including performance appraisals and management.
  • Encourage quality in your work and inspire others to do the same.
