Role Overview:
As a Production Coordinator, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service to our clients regarding all sales inquiries, quotes, orders, deliveries, and related administrative tasks in a cost-efficient manner for Heidelberg Materials UK.

Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate daily communication with the plant to establish both current and upcoming mixing schedules.
- Manage real-time order modifications and address plant malfunctions in collaboration with the allocators.
- Engage daily with the allocations controller to pinpoint planning challenges and propose corrective measures.
- Organize out-of-hours deliveries as necessary.
- Monitor plant availability to ensure optimal operations.

Plant Management:
- Ensure that any unplanned plant downtime is recorded in the SyncroTess system.
- Create, modify, and confirm new customer orders, whether on account or as cash sales, ensuring all necessary details are accurately entered into the SAP Order Management system, including customer information and delivery specifics.
- Negotiate feasible delivery timelines with clients, taking into account other orders and truck availability using the transport management system.

Communication and Reporting:
- Provide courteous and timely responses to drivers, plant personnel, and transport staff.
- Inform the team leader or regional manager of any plant breakdowns, ensuring proper documentation.
- Escalate any issues that may affect service quality or require clarification.
- Redirect trucks as necessary during breakdowns and maintain records of such incidents.

Collaboration:
- Work closely with the pre-planner to ensure the fleet is scheduled appropriately.
- Coordinate with asphalt plants and regional coordinators to enhance distribution solutions, including back-loading between areas.
- Receive, log, and address customer complaints through the Heidelberg Materials NCR and Complaints system, ensuring that preventive and corrective actions are implemented.

Qualifications:
- A minimum of a Grade 4+ / C in GCSE Maths and English is required.
- Proficient knowledge of SAP, SyncroTess, and other order and vehicle planning systems, along with standard office software.
