Job Summary

Menzies Aviation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Aircraft Refueller to join our team. As an Aircraft Refueller, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient refueling of passenger aircraft at our airport locations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Attend and refuel aircraft by vehicle tanker/bowser as directed by the allocators/supervisor and/or daily worksheet.
  • Operate in accordance with airport, health & safety, HM customs, security, and MA ASIG regulations and procedures.
  • Operate on-board aircraft switches in accordance with ASIG/Airline procedure.
  • Record data manually and/or by computer.
  • Conduct vehicle checks by carrying out the designated quality control procedures. Identify any defects found and report accordingly.
  • Ensure all vehicles are serviced with diesel/gas oil and necessary lubricants.
  • Maintain regular radio/telephone contact for flight information and operate all forms of communications as provided.
  • Report any incidents and provide reports as required.
  • Carry out other relevant tasks as directed by the supervisor or regional manager.

Requirements

  • Valid driving license with HGV C or HGV C+E (CPC & ADR would be an advantage, CPC will be provided)
  • High standard of numeracy and literacy skills required in addition to problem-solving skills.
  • Good team working skills required with a high degree of flexibility.
  • Aircraft re-fueling experience essential.
  • Must have a checkable five-year employment history.
  • Must be able to pass airside driving medical.
  • Must be able to obtain a Gatwick Airport airside security pass.
  • Excellent leadership, personal and communication skills are essential as is the need to be both adaptable and flexible.
