Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the administrative staff within the Urology Specialty, ensuring the smooth running and development of the directorate's administration functions.

Key duties will include managing staff workloads, allocating tasks, and monitoring performance to ensure targets are met. The postholder will also be responsible for the recruitment and selection of administrative staff, as well as undertaking appraisals and formulating personal development plans.

As a key member of the team, the Administration Manager will work closely with senior colleagues, clinicians, and peers to ensure effective communication and collaboration to achieve good outcomes for patients.

Key Skills and Qualifications
  • Proven experience in a management role, with a strong track record of staff management and development.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and implement solutions.
  • Able to work effectively as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Working Arrangements

This is a full-time position, with flexible working arrangements available. The postholder will be required to work within the Trust's policies and procedures, including the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975.

The successful candidate will be required to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check as part of the recruitment process.
