Audio Visual Operations Supervisor

Competitive salary up to £60,000

The Audio Visual Operations Supervisor will primarily oversee activities at various venues. As a prominent global provider of audio-visual integration and event solutions, we are seeking a skilled Operations Supervisor to play a crucial role in our London division. This position entails full accountability for ensuring that all operations at client venues are executed in accordance with established service level agreements. The Supervisor serves as the primary liaison between our company and the client, with the main objective of fulfilling the client's requirements during their events and meetings. The role involves collaborating with technical staff, general client services, and the production team to effectively plan for events by managing staffing needs, ensuring equipment functionality, controlling expenses, and supervising on-site operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Oversee the management of on-site technical staff and temporary personnel
  2. Collaborate with the Operations Team to identify and implement service enhancements
  3. Administer process workflows in alignment with client protocols
  4. Foster a well-organized and professional atmosphere where the team is guided to meet and exceed client expectations
  5. Conduct regular one-on-one meetings with team members, implementing performance improvement strategies as necessary
  6. Develop skills matrices and identify training needs
  7. Manage daily workload and allocate resources effectively
  8. Facilitate daily and weekly operations meetings to discuss staffing, technical needs, room conditions, and AV charges
  9. Act as the decision-maker for service requests at designated locations
  10. Ensure regular inspections of all areas by technicians in accordance with existing protocols
  11. Responsible for initiating and closing service tickets for any operational issues, coordinating with the service team for repairs, and escalating unresolved matters
  12. Maintain client communication, providing updates, feedback, and operational insights
  13. Prepare monthly billing reports, track purchases, and manage overtime
  14. Generate weekly event scheduling forecasts, detailing staffing, hiring, and technical requirements
  15. Ensure all operational financial reports and metrics are delivered to the client and senior management through regular service reviews and ad-hoc requests
