Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health, Safety & Wellbeing Lead to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the Strategic Pipeline Alliance (SPA) SHEA Manager in delivering health, safety, and wellbeing strategies across pre-construction and construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Health, Safety & Wellbeing Strategy: Support the SPA SHEA Manager in developing and implementing health, safety, and wellbeing strategies across pre-construction and construction projects.
  • Expert Guidance: Provide expert guidance to delivery teams on health, safety, and wellbeing best practices, ensuring adherence to the Health, Safety, Environment Management System (HSEMS).
  • Incident Investigation: Lead and support investigations into incidents, ensuring accurate reporting and effective resolution of health, safety, and wellbeing concerns.
  • Training and Development: Develop and deliver comprehensive health, safety, and wellbeing training programs, ensuring team members are well-equipped with up-to-date knowledge.
  • Team Leadership: Oversee, mentor, and support health, safety, and wellbeing advisors, ensuring high standards in inspections, audits, and reporting.
  • Culture Promotion: Promote a positive culture of safety and wellbeing across the organization, encouraging proactive engagement with all safety initiatives.
Requirements
  • Experience: Significant experience in health, safety, and wellbeing within both pre-construction and construction environments.
  • Certifications: NEBOSH Construction Certificate and actively working towards, or in possession of, IOSH membership (CertIOSH/CMIOSH).
  • Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills, with a forward-thinking approach to implementing digital solutions to improve safety performance. Proven experience in leading and mentoring teams, with the ability to provide clear direction and support.
