Residential Care Support Practitioner

Role Overview

As a key member of our care team, you will oversee the delivery of support services to individuals, ensuring that their personal goals and preferences are met in a respectful and empowering manner.

Responsibilities

- Supervise and guide support staff in providing high-quality care, fostering positive relationships with service users, their families, and other professionals.
- Act as a role model, offering constructive feedback and support to enhance the professional growth of your team.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of local care procedures, ensuring compliance with all relevant policies and regulations.
- Maintain a flexible and innovative approach to care, encouraging service users to make informed choices and participate actively in their care plans.

Key Attributes

- Present the service positively and proactively suggest improvements to enhance service delivery.
- Hold a recognized qualification such as NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or an equivalent qualification.
- Possess experience in a similar care environment, demonstrating a commitment to high standards of care.

Care Delivery

- Provide tailored care to a designated group of service users, ensuring their individual needs and preferences are prioritized.
- Collaborate with the Multi-Disciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care delivery, maintaining effective communication with external professionals.
- Keep accurate and up-to-date records of care provided, ensuring transparency and accountability in all interactions with service users.

Professional Relationships

- Build and maintain strong professional relationships with service users, colleagues, and visitors, addressing inquiries and concerns with courtesy and promptness.
- Uphold the principles of equality and diversity, promoting these values within the team and throughout the service.

Compliance and Training

- Complete all mandatory training and competency assessments as required for the role, ensuring adherence to best practices in care delivery.
