Account Manager

Job SummaryWe're seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Account Manager to join our commercial team. As an Account Manager, you'll be responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of existing accounts, as well as developing new business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and grow a selection of existing accounts, primarily in the UK
- Be the primary point of contact for incoming trade enquiries
- Ensure ongoing contact with key customers, including occasional visits as required
- Record and analyze purchases, and manage forecasting
- Maintain and update customer database and records using our CRM
- Organize samples and marketing materials for prospects and customers
- Manage onboarding and integration of new accounts
- Liaise with our operations team to ensure customer accounts are operated satisfactorily
- Work with our in-house marketing team to execute customer promotions and sales/marketing support
- Track promotional spending
- Address customer complaints
- Manage new-line forms and promotional activation forms
- Manage and action price reviews
- Represent the company at trade shows in the UK or abroad, as required
- Provide support to the Key Accounts Manager
- Perform other commercial duties as assigned
- Highly organized and customer-focused
- High attention to detail and comfortable with administrative tasks
- A skilled Account Manager with a good level of sales or marketing experience
- High numeracy skills
- Strong IT skills, particularly in Excel/PowerPoint, as well as comfortable using CRM and project management software
- Ability to generate and present sales/marketing reports
- An interest in food and the food industry, as well as all things commercial within the food business
- Own transport and driving license
- Good spoken and written communication skills
- Strong administrative skills and discipline
- A professional manner
- Self-confident, polite, and diligent
- Positive 'can-do' attitude and flexible approach
- Strong team player
- Ability to prioritize projects and workload, with excellent time management
