Position Overview

As a Gas Engineer at Aston Group, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficiency and safety of heating services by performing both scheduled and emergency maintenance within the company's operational standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct inspections, identify issues, replace components, and execute repairs on heating and hot water systems
  • Perform flue gas analysis
  • Calculate heat loss
  • Conduct surveys for boiler replacements or system upgrades, including quality checks of completed tasks
  • Test and commission heating equipment
  • Carry out gas servicing
  • Test smoke and carbon monoxide detectors
  • Complete job sheets and daily logs, as well as weekly time reports
  • Adhere to safety protocols to ensure the protection of colleagues and the public
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver high-quality service and achieve customer satisfaction
  • Ensure timely delivery of commitments to clients, meeting agreed-upon KPIs and service standards
  • Provide technical guidance and support
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff
  • Maintain exceptional customer service in all interactions
  • Participate in toolbox talks
  • Comply with the company's Health & Safety Policy and related procedures
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management, including vehicle maintenance and reporting malfunctions
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 am to 17:00 pm, with the understanding that flexibility for overtime may be required.

Candidate Profile
To qualify for the Gas Engineer position, candidates should possess the following qualifications and experience:

Essential Qualifications:

CCN1, CPA1, CKR1, HTR1, CENWAT
Energy Efficiency
Unvented Hot Water
HIU
Heat Pumps
Gas fires
Cylinders
HRU
ACS / Gas Safe certification with demonstrable experience

Experience:
  • At least 3 years of experience in gas servicing
  • Experience as a qualified heating/gas service engineer in residential or communal settings
  • Proficient in using and training others on PDA devices
Skills and Knowledge:
  • Ability to build and maintain effective professional relationships with internal and external parties
  • Strong technical skills in all aspects of gas systems, including wiring
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Team-oriented mindset
  • Possession of a valid full clean driving license is mandatory
