We are thrilled to announce a position for a Senior Radiology Nursing Specialist to operate within the newly established Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) as well as the primary radiology unit.
As a seasoned radiology nurse, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional nursing care and assessing the quality of care provided to our patients.
You will need to demonstrate flexibility in working alongside radiology nursing, administrative, clinical staff, and multidisciplinary teams.
This is a remarkable opportunity to contribute to a new initiative in partnership with other healthcare professionals, making a significant impact on patient care.
Key Responsibilities
Foster a supportive learning environment for students and staff during their time in the CDC.
Collaborate with CDC teams to routinely review and enhance documentation and patient information materials.
Take the lead on quality assurance, patient satisfaction, infection control, and exemplify leadership.
Assist clinical staff in performing clinical assessments and investigations.

Qualifications and Experience
Essential
- BSc in Nursing or equivalent qualification.
- Current NMC Registration.
Desirable
- Additional qualifications related to the Management of Deteriorating Patients.
Knowledge & Skills
Essential
- Extensive experience as a Band 5 nurse.
- Proven experience in multidisciplinary collaboration.
- Experience in mentoring and training new or junior staff members.
- Understanding of Clinical Governance.
- Familiarity with national assessment guidelines and initiatives.
- Knowledge of procedures performed within Radiology.
Desirable
- Experience in diverse environments.
- Basic understanding of X-Ray Radiation protection.
- Experience in developing and implementing local protocols.
