About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Deputy Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our established Interventional Radiology team. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated nurse to contribute to a multidisciplinary environment and further develop their expertise in this specialized field.

Your Responsibilities

  • Participate actively in outpatient clinics, virtual consultations, pre-assessment procedures, and multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings.
  • Provide comprehensive support with complex patient discharges, including bleep holding and list scheduling.
  • Serve as a valuable resource of expert advice for fellow healthcare professionals.
  • Deliver health promotion and education programs to patients and their families.

Your Development

This role offers a unique development opportunity to gain valuable experience as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Interventional Radiology. You will be assigned a mentor and receive comprehensive support to achieve the necessary competencies for this specialized position.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to handle sensitive information with empathy and professionalism.
  • Proven experience in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating specialist care for patients.
  • A strong understanding of current clinical practices and professional standards within Interventional Radiology.
  • Demonstrated expertise in cardiology and a commitment to patient advocacy within a multidisciplinary team setting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science (health-related) or equivalent qualification/experience.
  • Post-registration specialist course relevant to Interventional Radiology.
  • Mentorship Course.
  • Evidence of professional/clinical knowledge in the field, supplemented by specialized clinical and managerial training and continuing professional development (CPD).
  • Registered Nurse on the NMC register (RN1/ RN2/ RN12 or RN Child).
