Job Title: Lab Scientist

SRG is seeking a highly skilled Lab Scientist to join our team in Cambridge, UK.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a talented individual to support our production and QC activities in a newly created role. The successful candidate will work closely with our Senior Production Scientist and contribute to the manufacture and quality control of specialist reagents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparation of reagents, lyophilisation, and quality control of small-medium scale batches.
  • Handling receipt of reagents and chemicals, including aliquoting, storage, and uploading onto the QMS as necessary.
  • Collaboration with CMO's and in-house specialists to support production scaling activities.
  • Development and implementation of QC and validation protocols, ensuring adherence to regulatory processes.
  • Reporting of QC pass and fails, monitoring non-conformance, and taking corrective action.
  • Adherence to SOP's, maintaining accurate records, and documenting production activities in accordance with company policy.
  • Background in IVD development, working to ISO 13485 standards in a production or QC team.
  • Proven industry/commercial lab experience, ideally in device development.
  • Good proficiency with RT-PCR and other classic molecular skills such as reagent and/or chemical handling.
