About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Mental Health Practitioner to join our CAMHS Community Team as a CAMHS Community Practitioner. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a talented team of professionals who are passionate about delivering innovative and effective care to young people and their families.
As a CAMHS Community Practitioner, you will be responsible for assessing new young people coming through the service, holding a clinical caseload of people undertaking short-term, evidence-based interventions in line with our care pathways, and providing some duty cover when needed.
You will work closely with the wider team to provide a high-quality service, ensuring high standards of clinical practice when working with all young people and their families.
We are proud to be part of the wider CAMH service in Dorset, which has achieved outstanding results in recent years. Our CAMHS community services are rated Good, and our CAMHS inpatient unit is rated as Outstanding.

We are looking for an experienced Mental Health Practitioner who has a strong background in working with young people and their families. You will have a degree in a relevant field, such as psychology, social work, or nursing, and will be registered with the relevant professional body.
You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders, including young people, families, and other professionals.
You will also have a strong understanding of the principles of evidence-based practice and will be able to apply this knowledge in your work with young people and their families.
